Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Promptzy, a macOS desktop application ("the App") operated by Promptzy ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal or commercial purposes on macOS devices you own or control. You may not redistribute, reverse-engineer, or modify the App.

2. Free and Pro Plans

The App offers a free tier (limited to 5 prompts and 1 collection) and a Pro tier (unlimited prompts, unlimited collections, iCloud Sync). Pro is a one-time purchase of $5 USD, processed by our payment partner Paddle. Pro is not a subscription and does not auto-renew.

3. Payments

All payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"), who acts as the Merchant of Record. Paddle handles billing, tax collection, and payment processing on our behalf. By purchasing Pro, you also agree to Paddle's Terms.

4. Your Data

All prompts, collections, and files you create in Promptzy are stored locally on your Mac. If you enable iCloud Sync (Pro feature), your data is synced through Apple's iCloud Drive under your own Apple ID. We do not have access to your prompts or files.

5. No Warranty

The App is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet your specific requirements.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.

7. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Promptzy ("we", "us", "our") handles your information when you use the Promptzy macOS application.

What We Collect

Almost nothing. Promptzy is a local-first application. Your prompts, collections, tags, and files are stored entirely on your Mac. We do not collect, store, or transmit your prompt content.

Analytics

Our marketing website (promptzy.app) uses Vercel Analytics, which collects anonymous page view data (no cookies, no personal information). The desktop app does not include analytics or telemetry.

Payment Information

If you purchase Pro, payment is processed entirely by Paddle. We do not collect or store your credit card number, billing address, or other payment details. Paddle may collect information as described in Paddle's Privacy Policy.

License Verification

When you activate Pro, the App sends your Paddle transaction ID to Paddle's API to verify the purchase. A machine identifier (hardware UUID) is stored locally to prevent duplicate activations. This identifier is never sent to us.

iCloud Sync

If you enable iCloud Sync, your prompts are synced via Apple's iCloud Drive under your Apple ID. We have no access to your iCloud data. Apple's Privacy Policy governs iCloud Drive.

Third-Party Services

Promptzy does not integrate with or send data to any third-party AI services. The App is a prompt manager — it stores and organizes your prompts locally. You choose when and where to paste them.

Children's Privacy

Promptzy is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.

Refund Policy

We want you to be happy with Promptzy. If you're not satisfied with your Pro purchase, we offer a straightforward refund policy.

14-Day Refund Window

You may request a full refund within 14 days of your purchase date, no questions asked. After 14 days, refunds are granted at our discretion for technical issues that prevent the App from functioning.

How to Request a Refund

Email promptzy.app@gmail.com with your Paddle transaction ID or the email address used for purchase. We will process your refund through Paddle within 5-10 business days.

After a Refund

Once a refund is processed, your Pro license will be deactivated and the App will revert to the free tier. Your prompts and files will remain on your Mac — nothing is deleted.
